The Samoyed dog breed proved to be a great friend for the Samoyede people of northwestern Siberia. Samoyed Dog – Body Characteristics
Samoyed Dog are known for their thick, weather-resistant coats and characteristic black lips that smile. In the Spitz family, the Samoyed belongs to the “brown and black part.” Samoyed eyes are almond-shaped and usually black or brown. Though they are healthy breeds, Samoyed hereditary glomerulopathy, a kidney illness, Diabetes mellitus, Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), Hip dysplasia, Pulmonary stenosis, Subvalvular Aortic Stenosis, and Hypothyroidism can all affect the breed. They have a lifespan of 12 to 14 years.
